background information on this organisation
Jewish Care was created in 1990, through the merger of two charities, to ensure we could provide the best care for the community's needs in the most cost-effective way.
Since then, we have built up strong links and merged our work with other Jewish charities in order to maintain our vision of high quality care for the community.
The following organisations and agencies now come under the umbrella of Jewish Care:
Jewish Welfare Board,
Jewish Blind Society,
Jewish Home and Hospital at Tottenham,
Food for the Jewish Poor (Soup Kitchen),
British Tay-Sachs Foundation,
Waverley Manor (Friends of the London Jewish Hospital) - now Clore Manor,
Brighton and Hove Jewish Home - now Hyman Fine House,
Stepney Jewish (Bnai Brith) Clubs and Settlements,
Sinclair House - Redbridge Jewish Youth and Community Centre.
