| Childrens Services: we run three family centres in Hackney, Barnet, Redbridge which offer a range of services including: toy libraries, mother & toddler groups, therapy rooms and counselling services. Our Social work teams support and provide preventative interventions to families who are experiencing social difficulties or are affected by disability. We offer educational support and professional support to children with learning or behavioural difficulties, their parents and schools. Services available to children include teaching support, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and art therapy. We provide respite care for children with disabilities. We also operate a fostering and adoptions service. Our adult services provide support for adults with learning disabilities in a range of settings including residential homes, supported housing, independent housing and domiciliary care. We also run a residential village (Ravenswood) in Berkshire where we offer residential accommodation to some 150 adults. Our focus throughout our adult services is to maximise opportunities for choice and independence for users to decide the kind of lifestyle they want with an emphasis on employment, improved leisure opportunities and skills development. |
