| Exceptional Ofsted report | |||
| Step by Step received an exceptional Ofsted report in a recent unexpected inspection at our Sunday club. Our Sunday club provides disabled children with a full day of stimulation and fun activities whilst providing their families with respite. The inspector was spontaneous in his praise for the high level of care and warm atmosphere prevailing at the setting. He reported, “The setting provides outstanding support for children who have a range of complex and demanding welfare and care needs. Experienced staff have a very good understanding of each child's individual needs and are working with increasing effectiveness to ensure that children's learning is promoted effectively. Children play and learn in a safe and secure environment. Children are well supported and make progress while in the setting, given their age, ability and starting points. The setting has very effective partnerships with parents and external agencies which ensures that the range of the children's needs are understood and met well. The provider and manager use efficient self-evaluation processes which yields valuable information. This is used to provide a service which continuously improves and which responds to the needs of all its users.” A full report can be downloaded from the Ofsted website. | |||
