Yad Voezer ( A Helping Hand) was set up in 1975 to offer improved services for children and adults with a disability. It became a Registered Charity in 1978. Its services are run in accordance with orthodox Jewish tradition and its homes are under the supervision of the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations (Kedassia). The Charity was founded by Rabbi & Mrs. Ephraim Landau and Mrs. Landau is currently the Chief Executive. Yad Voezer now manages three Registered Residential Homes and two Supported Housing projects among its other services. The organisation has maintained its accreditation as Investors in People since 2000 and strives to provide a high quality service in all of its projects. Yad Voezer is currently in the process of building a large Day Centre in Stamford Hill to provide vocational and leisure services, Family Support, clubs and social activities.
